For Petitioner : Mr.K.R.Bharathi Kannan For Respondents : Mr.M.Mahaboob Athiff counsel for State ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to initiate the process for calling for tenders in respect of the transport works of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.01.2026. 2/7 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.20874 of 2026 2.By consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is engaged in transport contract works and is interested in participating in the tender process relating to the transport works of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, Madurai District. It is submitted that, despite the petitioner's representation dated 27.01.2026 requesting the respondents to initiate the tender process by calling for tenders, no action has been taken by the respondents. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking the aforesaid relief. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if this Court issues a direction to the competent authority to consider the petitioner's 3/7 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.20874 of 2026 representation dated 27.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.01.2026, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the fifth respondent and any other interested or affected parties, if any, and thereafter pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
