The entire issue surrounds the writing of the word Manonmaniam (kNdhd;kzpak;), whether it should be read as “kNdhd;kzPak;” or “kNdhd;kzpak;”. 3. It was the contention of the writ petitioner/contempt petitioner that it was written as “kNdhd;kzPak;”. 4. Thus, it is seen that they have taken a conscious decision to write it as 'kNdhd;kzpak;' owing to the reforms to the Tamil script introduced by Periyar and as accepted by the Government. 6.
