For Petitioner(s): Mr. N.Subramaniyan For Respondent(s): Mr.R.Siddharth, Standing Counsel https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 29067 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the teaching experience certificate dated 24.6.2026 for the service rendered by the petitioner as Lecturer in the Government Polytechnic College, Dr.Radhakrishnan Nagar in the subject selection to the post of Assistant Professor in the Tamilnadu Collegiate Educational service for Government Arts and Science Colleges pursuant to the Notification No.4/2025 dated 16.10.2025 issued by the respondent and to award marks for the same accordingly, as per clause 10 of the said notification providing for weightage for the teaching experience. 2. Heard the learned counsel on both sides and perused the materials available on record. 3. It is brought to the notice of this Court that a similarly placed candidate, one Saravana Devi, had earlier filed W.P.No.26455 of 2026 before this Court seeking a direction to the respondents to re-evaluate the petitioner’s paper-II answer script in accordance with law and to award https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 29067 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 appropriate marks based on such re-evaluation and consequently to appoint her to the post of Assistant Professor (Tamil) pursuant to the recruitment notification dated 16.10.2025, wherein this Court, on 19.07.2026, had granted the following interim order: “The Madurai Bench of this Court has already passed an interim order directing the respondents not to proceed with the subject recruitment until further orders. The same order will enure to the writ petition on hand” 4. Therefore, in view of the interim order passed in W.P. No. 26455 of 2026, the present writ petition is premature. Accordingly, the same is dismissed, granting liberty to the petitioner to revive the writ petition, if so advised, once the recruitment process is resumed.
