The limited prayer in the present writ petition is that an actual date of hearing be fixed in the case bearing No.107 of 2023 titled as “Davinder Singh Vs. Santokh Singh & Ors.” filed by the petitioner under Section 42 of the East Punjab Holdings (Consolidation and Prevention of Fragmentation) Act, 1948, which is pending before the District Revenue Officer-cum- Consolidation Officer, Kapurthala (respondent No.3 herein).

Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3/State. Learned State counsel on instructions from Mr. Pawan Kumar, Reader, Office of DRO-cum-Consolidation Officer, Kapurthala submits that the needful would be done within a period of two months from today.
