No.308 of 2026 For Petitioner : Mr.G.Palani For Respondents : R1 – Notice Served R2 & R3 – Service awaited O R D E R This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to return back the debited amount of Rs.2,00,000/- from the ICICI bank account no.97005003237 Perambur Branch dated 26.06.2025 in favour of the petitioner and to remove the subsequent lien marked in account no.97005003237. 2.Already, this Court by an order dated 27.03.2025 in W.P.Nos.19095 and 19098 of 2024 directed the first respondent herein and also Axis Bank, Kolathur Branch, Plot No.123 and 125C, Poompuhar Nagar, 1st Main Road, Kolathur, Chennai – 600 099, to mark lien over the petitioner’s account to the tune of Rs.2 Lakhs and permit the petitioner to operate his account for the remaining amount. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the disputed amount is only Rs.2 Lakhs and now both the banks held a sum of Rs.2 Lakhs as lien over the petitioner’s accounts. That apart, the first respondent already deducted a sum of Rs.2 Lakhs from the 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P. Crl. No.308 of 2026 petitioner’s account and transferred to the victim’s account. 4.In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to permit the petitioner to operate his account without marking lien over any further amount of the petitioner. Further, the Axis Bank, Kolathur Branch, Plot No.123 and 125C, Poompuhar Nagar, 1st Main Road, Kolathur, Chennai – 600 099, is also directed to permit the petitioner to operate his account without marking any lien over his property.
