WP No.29406 of 2026 ORDER (Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeks a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the online application dated 17.03.2026, made by the petitioner, towards issuance of ‘no objection certificate’ required for his appointment as a notary.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the application is pending since 17.03.2026 and no action whatsoever has been taken by the respondent. On the other hand, learned counsel for the respondent submitted that one complaint is pending against the petitioner and therefore, the application could not be decided. However, he assures that if direction is issued, the application would be decided as expeditiously as possible.
