Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation dated 21.03.2026 before the respondents, to measure and demarcate the petitioner’s property bearing Plot No.23, measuring 6 ½ cents, comprised in Survey No.244/3 (Part) situated at Vengaivasal Village, Tambaram Taluk. However, no action has been taken on the said representation till date. Hence, this writ petition. 3. Ms.Inthu Karunakaran, learned Government’s Counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondents and submits that the petitioner’s representation dated 21.03.2026 will be considered within a period of four weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 21.03.2026, on merits and in accordance with law, and carry out a survey and complete the process, after giving prior notice to the petitioner and other aggrieved parties, if any, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event any obstructions created by the third parties, the respondents 1 and 2 are at liberty to request for police protection https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 28446 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 before jurisdictional police. If any such request is made, the jurisdictional police is directed to provide an adequate police protection for conducting the survey. 6. It is made clear that this order is passed only for the purpose of issuing a direction to the official respondent to conduct a survey and lay boundary stones at the subject land. In the event any dispute arises regarding the possession of the subject property, the same has to be decided by way of filing a suit before the competent Civil Court. 7. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
