Mr. Subhadip Pramanick ....for the Petitioner Mr. Dr. Madhusudan Saha Ray Mr. Debanjan Chatterjee ....for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against unlawful and illegal installation of electric poles and transformers by the respondent WBSEDCL. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that on the land belonging to the petitioner, the respondent WBSEDCL has unauthorisedly installed electric poles and transformers. On behalf of the respondent WBSEDCL, it is submitted that public notices had been issued prior to installation. Without prejudice to the rights and contentions the meter is remanded to the concerned District Magistrate being the respondent no. 6 to consider the representation of the petitioner seeking compensation. 2 In view of the above submissions made on behalf of the parties, WPA 26012 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the respondent no. 6 to consider the case of the petitioner for compensation, if any in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this writ petition on the District Magistrate. The petitioner is granted liberty to file a fresh representation on the District Magistrate to consider and dispose of the same within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of such representation and after giving an opportunity of hearing to the parties if necessary. Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegations contained in the writ petition are not admitted. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.) 3
