ORDER This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to conduct survey and do boundary demarcation of the petitioner’s land comprised in Survey No.62/3D, Periamadhurapakkam Village, Walajabad Taluk, Kancheepuram District, and to consequently forbear the fourth respondent, namely, the Block Development Officer, Walajabad, from laying, forming, widening or continuing any road work in or across the said patta land belonging to the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, aggrieved by the act of the fourth respondent in forming a road by encroaching on approximately 2.2 cents of his aforesaid land which is a patta land, submitted a representation dated 28.02.2026 to the respondents seeking immediate survey, boundary demarcation and restraint against further road work till proper verification was done; complaining of inaction on the part of the respondents subsequent thereto, this writ petition has been filed seeking the aforesaid relief. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

3. Ms. Inthu Karunakaran, learned Government Counsel, accepting notice for the respondents, submitted that the fifth respondent will consider the petitioner’s representation dated 28.02.2026 within a period of six weeks.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Counsel, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the fifth respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 28.02.2026, after issuing due notice to the petitioner and other aggrieved persons, if any, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
