This Court, vide order dated 17.12.2024, recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that investigation had already been completed and ready to file charge, disposed of the said petition with a direction to the respondent police to file final 2 / 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Cont.P.No.1175 of 2026 report as early as possible. 2 The petitioner now has come up with this contempt petition alleging non compliance of the order dated 17.12.2024. 3 This Court vide order dated 19.06.2026 suo motu impleaded the respondents 2 to 6, who held the post of Inspector of Police of the respondent Police Station during the relevant period of time, as contemnors and since even after the lapse of two years, the order of this Court dated 17.12.2024 has not been complied with, issued show cause notice on the contemnors. 4 The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents/contemnors would submit that now investigation completed and charge sheet has been filed and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.2313 of 2026 by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Coimbatore. 5 Today, the respondents/contemnors appeared before this Court and have tendered their unconditional apologies through handwritten affidavits dated 24.07.2026. 6 Considering the handwritten affidavits of the contemnors and the fact that now charge sheet filed and the same was also taken on file in C.C.No.2313 of 2026, this Contempt petition is closed. 24.07.2026 cgi 3 / 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Cont.P.No.1175 of 2026 P.VELMURUGAN.
