Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. Perused the materials available on record. 3. The petitioner lodged a complaint before the Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Northern Range, Chennai – 16. In turn, the said complaint was forwarded to the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore, by communication dated 06.07.2026, seeking for a preliminary enquiry report. Now, the enquiry is pending on the file of the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore. 4. In view of the above, the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore, is directed to conduct a preliminary enquiry, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the respondents 3 and 4 and submit a report to the Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Northern Range, Chennai – 16, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
