Palani for valid consideration vide Document No.320/2004 dated on 19.02.2004 office of Sub-Registrar Office, Ponnamaravathy and another property was purchased the land in S.F. No.137-3 Nanjai Land 37 1/2 cent and another Survey No.137-4 Nanjai Land 3 1/4 cent including well and 40 3/4 cent situated at Manthangudipatti Revenue Village, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District from one Muthu Mohamed, S/o. Aasan Mohamed Ravuthar for valid consideration vide Document No. 797/2014 dated on 20.03.2014 office of Sub-Registrar Office, Ponnamaravathy along with police protection on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated on 03.07.2026. ORDER The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to survey the petitioner's land. 2. The petitioner claims title to the property comprised in Survey No. 137/3, classified as Nanjai land, measuring 74.75 cents. The 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis petitioner initially purchased the property from one Ammasai, S/o. Palani, under Sale Deed registered as Document No. 320 of 2004. Thereafter, the petitioner purchased an extent of 40¾ cents in Survey No. 137/3 (Nanjai land) and an extent of 3¼ cents in Survey No. 137/4 (Nanjai land), together with a well, under Sale Deed registered as Document No. 797 of 2014, dated 20.03.2014, from one Muthu Mohamed, S/o. Aasan Mohamed Ravuthar. Thus, the petitioner traces title to the subject property through the aforesaid sale deeds. It is the petitioner's case that the fourth respondent is disputing the boundary of the property and interfering with the petitioner's peaceful possession. Hence, the petitioner seeks a direction to survey the subject property. 3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. 4. In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to conduct a survey with the assistance of the second respondent after issuing notice to the petitioner, fourth respondent and any rival claimants, if any. If the first respondent requires police protection, the same shall be provided by the third respondent police. The official respondents shall adhere to the following Standard Operating Procedures: 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis • The official respondents shall issue notice to the petitioner immediately reaching the spot where survey is to be conducted. The petitioner shall affix the signature by receiving the notice of survey. • After survey again the petitioner shall affix signature indicating that the survey was conducted to their satisfaction. • If the petitioner is not satisfied, then also the petitioner shall affix signature indicating their dissatisfaction or with protest. The petitioner shall indicate that reason of their dissatisfaction or protest. The aforesaid procedure shall be strictly followed by the parties. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
