1. This appeal has been filed on behalf of the appellant—State of Rajasthan against the order dated 02.01.2025 passed by the learned Single Judge.

Learned counsel of the appellant—State of Rajasthan submits that the learned Single Judge has disposed of the writ petition in view of the consent given by respondents no.2 and 3
[2026:RJ-JP:12599-DB] (2 of 2) [SAW-56/2025] for holding the election for the post of member Zila Parishad, Bharatpur. Counsel submits that the appellant—State of Rajasthan was not heard while disposing of the writ petition. Counsel further submits that the issue of holding the election of Zila Parishad, Nagar Palika and Panchayats have been considered by the Division Bench of this Court vide order dated 21.01.2026 in the matter of
“Sunil Jangid & Ors. versus State of Rajasthan & Ors.” in D. B. Civil Writ Petition No.988/2026 along with other connected matters.
3. Counsel for the respondents opposed the appeal.
4. Heard counsel for the parties and perused the record.
5. This appeal filed on behalf of the appellants deserves to be allowed for the reason that this Court has decided the matter with regard to delimitation and holding of elections of Panchayats and Zila Parishad in the State of Rajasthan in the matter of ‘Sunil Jangid’ (supra).
6. In that view of the matter, this special appeal (writ) is allowed in view of the judgment passed by a Division Bench of this Court in the matter of Sunil Jangid (supra) and the order dated 02.01.2025 passed by the learned Single Judge is set aside.
