For Petitioner : Mr.U.Vinothkumar For Respondents : Mr.R.Veeramani, Government Pleader ORDER (Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This contempt petition is filed alleging disobedience of the order dated 02.12.2025 passed in WP No.39931 of 2025, by the respondents. 2. This Court has disposed of WP No.39931 of 2025 by recording the submissions of the learned State Counsel that already proceedings have been taken to remove the encroachment, and notice dated 25.11.2025 has been issued to the encroachers. 3. Learned Government Pleader submitted that on receipt of notice, some of the encroachers approached this Court by filing writ petition in WP No.20503 of 2026, and this Court has granted interim https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Cont.P.No.2548 of 2026 injunction. Therefore, no eviction proceedings could continue and that there is no wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that encroachers have filed a writ petition and they have also obtained an interim order in their favour. Learned counsel submitted that he has filed an application seeking impleadment in the said writ petition. 5. We see no disobedience of the order passed by this Court by the respondents and therefore, the contempt petition is closed. The petitioner is at liberty to pursue the pending writ petition.
