JUSTICE GANESH RAM MEENA Order 24/03/2026 1. Learned counsel for the petitioners after arguing the matter at some length made a limited prayer that since the [2026:RJ-JP:12421] (2 of 3) [CW-5372/2026] respondents without issuing any show cause notice to the petitioner as regards the change of the category of the electricity supply connection have changed the category and made the demand, the petitioners may be permitted to make a representation to the respondents-corporation as regards their grievances of change of the category of the electricity supply connection and demanding the charges according to the changed category. 2. Taking into consideration the material facts of this case that no notice for change of category of the electricity supply connection is said to have been issued to the petitioners by the respondents-corporation, the Court feels that ends of justice would meet if the petitioners are allowed to make a representation to the respondent-authorities as regards their grievances pertaining to change of the category of electricity supply connection and demand of charges as per the changed category. 3. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with the liberty to the petitioners to make a representation to the respondent-authorities within a period of ten days from today. 4. In case the respondents-authorities receive any such representation from the petitioners within above given period of ten days, the same may be considered and decided by the respondents-authorities after allowing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners as early as possible by a reasoned and speaking order. 5. Taking into consideration the overall facts and circumstances of the case, the Court also directs the respondents not to take any coercive action against the petitioners including [2026:RJ-JP:12421] (3 of 3) [CW-5372/2026] the disconnection of the electricity supply connection till disposal of the representation, if the same is submitted by the petitioners within above given time of ten days. 6. In view of the order passed in the main petition, the stay application as well as pending application, if any, also stands disposed of. (GANESH RAM MEENA),J Ashish Kumar/42
