The headmaster of a school has approached this Court by filing the instant writ petition alleging illegal activities of the managing committee. 2. According to the headmaster, the members of the managing committee are not attending the meeting for which normal functioning of the school is being hampered. 3. Allegation of the petitioner is opposed by the learned advocate representing the school managing committee and its president. 4. It is the submission that the headmaster is not cooperating with the school managing committee. The issue of maintainability of the writ petition at the instance of the headmaster challenging the act of the 2 managing committee has been raised by the learned counsel representing the school. 5. The District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Purba Medinipur has forwarded a report signed on January 16, 2026. It appears therefrom that the District Inspector of Schools has already reported about the issue to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. 6. Learned advocate representing the Board relies on the communication made by the Deputy Secretary (Disciplinary Authority) of the Board addressed to the President and the Headmaster of the school vide memo dated January 20, 2026. 7. It appears that the Deputy Secretary has issued several directions, both upon the Headmaster and the President of the school to cooperate for smooth functioning of the school. 8. Upon hearing the submissions made on behalf of all the parties, it appears that there is infighting between the Headmaster and the school managing committee. Due to acrimonious relationship between the parties, normal and regular functioning of the school is being jeopardized. 9. The Board has already taken the matter into consideration and issued several directions. 10. The parties would be bound to take steps in terms of the directives issued by the Board. 3 11. The writ petition stands disposed of. 12. It is made clear that the Court has not considered the issue of maintainability of the writ petition and the writ petition has been disposed of relying on the action already taken by the Board to resolve the dispute. 13.
