The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to register the rental agreement of petitioner with one Ramasamy, which was assigned in Application No.TN-242025122024161 dated 20.12.2025, subject to the provisions under Section 4(4) on receipt of application under Sub-Section (3) of the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017 and the rules made thereunder and provide a registration number. 3. At the outset, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that petitioner's application dated 20.12.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed, within a time period to be stipulated by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner. 4. In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the representation dated 20.12.2025 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 27714 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 law, after issuing notice and after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner and any other interested persons within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy of the order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views on the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.
