According to petitioner, he was earlier registered as Transporter with Department of Civil Supplies; however, when he applied for renewal of his registration for Financial Year 2026-27, his application was rejected based on some technical objection. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the authority to register his name. 3. Learned State Counsel submits that the contract for transportation of food grains for Financial Year 2026-27, has been awarded, therefore, even if petitioner is registered now, it will not result in award of contract for the current financial year, and registration if made, shall make him eligible for future contracts. 4. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make 2026:UHC:3913 fresh application for registration to the competent authority. If he makes such application within 10 days from today, the same shall be considered and appropriate order shall be passed thereupon as per law, within six weeks thereafter.
