R.K.Varshini, Government Counsel ORDER This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 05.03.2024 passed by this Court in W.P.No.5438 of 2024, whereby this Court directed the third respondent to rectify the pay anomaly between the petitioner and one Chamundeeswari in terms of G.O.(Ms.) No.25, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (FR.IV) Department, dated 23.03.2015. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CONT P No. 1560 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 2. It is brought to the notice of this Court that similar orders were challenged before the Hon'ble Division Bench of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court in W.A.(MD) Nos.764 to 773 of 2023 and batch, which came to be disposed of. Pursuant to the judgment passed therein, the Government issued G.O.(Ms.) No.164, School Education Department, dated 16.07.2025, prescribing the eligibility conditions and other criteria for stepping up of pay. 3. The learned Government Advocate submitted that the case of the petitioner was thereafter considered in the light of G.O.(Ms.) No.164, School Education Department, dated 16.07.2025 and, on such consideration, it was found that no pay anomaly existed in the petitioner's case. Accordingly, the petitioner's request was rejected. 4. Recording the said submission, this Contempt Petition is closed.
