No. 1818 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 6 ORDER The Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the Respondents 1 to 5 to consider the petitioners representation dt.28.04.2026 and consequently forbear the Respondents from granting permission to Respondent 6 to 8 for conducting the proposed Aadi Thiruvizha in Arulmigu Sri Mariamman Temple,except upon and in accordance with orders passed by the competent Civil Court in O.S.No.6531 of 2024 in the light of the judgment of the Honble Division Bench in W.A.1646 of 2025. 2. 2. It is seen that a dispute is already pending between the petitioner and respondents 6 to 8 herein regarding the conduct of the Aadi Thiruvizha festival at the Arulmigu Sri Mariamman Temple. A suit is also pending in O.S. No. 6531 of 2024 on the file of the Vth Assistant City Civil Court, Chennai. Therefore, the representation submitted by the petitioner seeking to restrain respondents 6 to 8 from conducting the Aadi Thiruvizha festival at the Arulmigu Sri Mariamman Temple cannot be considered. 3. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the Civil Court for appropriate relief. Until an order is obtained from the Civil Court, no party is permitted to conduct the Aadi Thiruvizha https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP Crl. In the event of any violation of this Court's order, the 5th respondent is directed to take appropriate action against any person who engages in illegal activities in the name of the Aadi Thiruvizha festival.
