Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. B. Sharma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. 2. This application has been filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraskha Sanhita, 2023, whereby the petitioners namely, Riajul Hoque @ Raijul and Momir Hossen, who is stated to have been in custody since 14.04.2026, has prayed for bail in connection with Gossaigaon P.S Case No. 70/2026 under Section 61(2)/318(4)/325/3(5) of BNS, 2023, R/W Section 13(1) of Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021. 3. The allegation against the petitioners is that the petitioners are involved in illegal smuggling and transportation of cattle, on the basis of an incident wherein beef was recovered in abundant quantity. 4. I have considered the submissions at the Bar. 5. I have also considered the length of detention. It appears that custodial detention may not be required for the progress of the investigation. 6. Considering the entire aspect of the matter, the above-named petitioners are allowed to go on bail of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand) only each with one surety each of like amount subject to the satisfaction of the learned SDJM(M), Gossaigaon with following conditions: (i) That the petitioners shall refrain from such activities with which they are alleged; Page No.# 3/3 7.
