The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-supply of a permanent electric connection to the premises of the petitioner. A Report has been filed by the WBSEDCL. From the Report, it appears that on 17.02.2026 pursuant to the direction of this Court, the electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner was installed. However, on 18.02.2026 some unknown persons had disconnected the same. Thereafter, the WBSEDCL had attempted to reconnect but were resisted by the private respondents. In view of the fact that the WBSEDCL has no grievance against the petitioner, WPA 25318 of 2025 stands allowed. 2 WBSEDCL is directed to restore the electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner, if necessary with police assistance. It is made clear that the payment of any such police assistance would be borne by the petitioner. The WBSEDCL is also directed to ensure that no such further disconnection takes place in the future.
