For Petitioner(s): Mr.S.Silambuselvan For Respondent(s): Mr.R.Rajasekaran, Government Advocate (Crl. Side), for R1 and R2 ORDER 1. The petitioners are accused in Cr. No.346 of 2026, on the file of the respondent police, for the alleged offences under Sections 191(2), 191(3), 296(b), 126(2), 115(2), 118(1) & 351(2) of BNS r/w 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) & 3(2) (va) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, (the Act). 2. In view thereof, the petitioners have prayed that their bail application be considered on the same day. Considering the provisions of the Act, the allegations and factual background, I am of the view that the prayer can be considered. This Criminal Original Petition is accordingly ordered as follows: (i) The petitioners shall serve advance notice of the surrender petition/bail application on the prosecution as well as the de-facto complainant, intimating the proposed date of surrender; (ii) The respondent police shall also independently inform the de-facto complainant about the surrender and the hearing of the bail petition, including the date and the Court; (iii) The petitioners shall surrender, and the bail application shall be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law on the same day. 23-07-2026 Neutral Citation: No PVS To 1.
