This Writ Petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents to stop the ongoing construction activities of foot path and public toilet at the present location on Marudhupandiyar Salai, consider relocating the proposed toilet to a more suitable place where it does not obstruct traffic or public movement, remove existing encroachments on Marudhupandiyar Salai before undertaking any further development works based upon the petitioner’s representation dated 07.01.2026. 2 / 6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.28557 of 2026 2 According to learned counsel for the writ petitioner, the writ petitioner Association made representation before the respondents on 07.01.2026 seeking to stop the ongoing construction activities of foot path and public toilet at the present location on Marudhupandiyar Salai and to relocate the proposed toilet to a more suitable place where it does not obstruct traffic or public movement, to remove existing encroachments on Marudhupandiyar Salai before undertaking any further development works. But the respondents neither removed the encroachments nor passed any orders on the petitioner’s representation. Hence the writ petitioner constrained to filed this Writ Petition. 3 Mrs.I.Sudeksha, learned counsel appeared for M/s.Mridula Royan, learned Standing Counsel appeared for the first respondent.
