The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant was working as Toll Collector at Nagampatty Toll Plaza on Tiruvannamalai- Krishnagiri NH Road. On 12.07.2026, a group of persons who came in two commercial vehicles refused to pay the toll charge and when the defacto complainant and his colleague questioned it, the accused persons abused them in filthy language and attacked with plastic pipes. Hence, the case. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and that he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Crl.O.P.No.19465 of 2026 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), appearing for the respondent Police, reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the investigation is still pending. Therefore, she opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5. I have given my anxious consideration to either side submissions. 6. From the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), it is seen that the investigation is still pending. It is also evident that, if anticipatory bail is granted to the petitioner, it will have an adverse impact on society. Considering the antecedents of the petitioner, the nature of the allegations and the interest of society at large, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 22.07.2026 ssb 3/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Crl.O.P.No.19465 of 2026 C.KUMARAPPAN, J. ssb To 1.The Inspector of Police, Mathur Police Station, Krishnagiri District. 2.The Public Prosecutor, High Court of Madras.
