For Petitioner: Mr.Deepanuday For Respondent: Mr.S.Yogaraja Sekar Counsel for Government of Tamilnadu (Criminal Side) ORDER The petitioner/A3, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 20.06.2026 for the alleged offences under Sections 140(2) & 310(2) of BNS (364(A) & 395 of IPC) in Crime No.219 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2. The case of the prosecution is that on 19.06.2026, the petitioner (Accused No. 3), along with the other co-accused, abducted the defacto https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 19568 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 complainant and six others who had accompanied him from the State of West Bengal for work. The accused allegedly transported them in a Maruti Omni car, committed dacoity by robbing Rs.1,500/- from their bags and extorted an additional sum of Rs.65,000/- via Google Pay from the relatives of the defacto complainant. Hence the case. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He also submits that the petitioner has been in judicial custody since 20.06.2026 and is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for the grant of bail. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent, while opposing the grant of bail to the petitioner, reiterated the prosecution case and on instruction, submitted that the investigation is still pending and the petitioner has two previous cases. 5. I have given anxious consideration to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side. 6.
