The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3, and in particular the 3rd respondent, to take all necessary steps on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 26.05.2026 and to remove the name of Selvi and incorporate the name of the petitioner as the wife of Late V. Govindaraj in the Death Certificate registered on 06.11.2023, bearing Registration No. D-2023:33-16603-004156, pursuant to the Judgment and Decree dated 17.04.2026 passed in O.S. No. 3803 of 2024 by the learned XIX Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, within a reasonable time. 3. 3. At the outset, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that petitioner's representation dated 26.05.2026 would be considered https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 28576 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 and appropriate orders would be passed after issuing notice to petitioner as well as Selvi and any other interested parties, within a time period to be stipulated by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner. 4. In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 26.05.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after issuing notice and after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner as well as Selvi and any other interested persons within a period of two weeks from the date of uploading of web copy of this order, without waiting for receipt of a certified copy thereof, keeping in view Judgment and Decree passed by the learned XIX Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai in O.S. No. 3803 of 2024 dated 17.04.2026. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondents to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law. 5.
