The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant was known to the petitioner. It is alleged that the petitioner sought financial assistance from her and pursuant to the said request, the defacto complainant voluntarily handed over a property title document and certain monetary amounts to him on various dates. However, when the defacto complainant demanded the return of the document, a dispute arose between them. It is further the case of the prosecution that on 26.05.2026, at about 9:00 AM, the petitioner took the defacto complainant to his residence at Srinivasan Nagar, Koladi, Thiruverkadu, where he and the other accused persons abused her, stripped her nude, caused injuries, and threatened to upload obscene photographs of her on social media. Hence, this case was registered. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioners are innocent and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and they have been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioners have been in judicial custody since 04.06.2026 and are ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and ready to co- operate with the investigation. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioners. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the property https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 19716 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 has not been recovered so far and the victim girl is aged about 25 years. 5. I have given anxious consideration to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side. 6. Considering the serious nature of the allegations and the fact that the property has not been recovered so far and the victim girl is aged about 25 years, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail. 7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 23-07-2026 NSL To 1. The Inspector of Police, Thiruverkadu Police Station, Tiuvallur. 2.
