The petitioner claims that he stand on the same footing as that of the petitioner in LA Misc. Case No. 66 of 2008 in whose favour an enhancement of the compensation amount was passed by a judgment dated May 26, 2011 in LA Misc. Case No. 66 of 2008. The grievance of the petitioner is that, till date, the said application has not yet been disposed of. Mr. Ghosh, learned Advocate appearing for the State, files a report of the Land Acquisition Collector (G), Howrah dated 17th December, 2025. The said letter is taken on record. It appears from the said report that the petitioner was asked to appear before the said authority on 24th December, 2025 for a hearing. The learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner duly attended the hearing before such authority on 24th December, 2025. He submits that till date, the decision of such hearing has not been communicated to the petitioner. The learned Counsel appearing for the State submits that the decision on hearing that took place on 24th December, 2025 in connection with the application under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 for enhancement of the award as serial no. 10 of LA case No. 13 (SBIIDC Act) of 1997- 1998, shall be communicated within the time limit as may be fixed by this Court. The Land Acquisition Collector (General), Howrah, being the fourth respondent, is directed to communicate the reasoned order to the petitioner on or before February 20, 2026. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
