Affidavit-of-service, as filed in Court, is kept on record. 2. The petitioner was a student in the Lal Baba College, affiliated to the University of Calcutta, registered in the year, 2014. He was enrolled in the three year degree course and could not appear in one supplementary examination, some time in 2016. The petitioner had qualified for the subsequent examinations in 2017-18. 2 3. However, at present, there is a Notification by the University of Calcutta, extending the time for the students to appear in the supplementary examination only for the years 2017 to 2020 in B.A./B.Sc. (under CBCS course). 4. The petitioner’s course is even prior to such CBCS course. The course of 2014 has now become obsolete. The time to complete the degree is a period of ten years as will appear from the Notification No. CSR/27/13 of the University of Calcutta, which expired in the year, 2024. Hence, the petitioner’s prayer cannot be permitted at this stage. 5. The writ petition is, thus, dismissed. 6. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. 7.
