ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- “Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to consider the petitioners representation dated 22.01.2026 regarding disburse of the terminal benefits in the light the orders passed by the first respondent herein in G.O.(D) No.609 Municipal Administration and Water Supplies (MC-3) Department dated 17.10.2025 and appoint the petitioners elder son J.Venkatesan on compassionate basis due to the demise of his father Late.P.Jayakumar, on 09.08.2018 who was working as a Sanitary worker, within a time frame as deem fit and proper by this Honble Court. 2. The main grievance of the petitioner is that her husband, Late P.Jayakumar, who was working as a Sanitary Worker, died while in service on 09.08.2018. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an application on 22.01.2026 seeking settlement of the terminal benefits payable to her in the light of the orders passed by the first respondent herein in G.O.(D) No.609 Municipal Administration and Water Supplies (MC-3) Department dated 17.10.2025 and https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 28298 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 compassionate appointment for her elder son, J.Venkatesan, enclosing all the required documents. Despite the lapse of considerable time, no orders have been passed on the petitioner's application. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court seeking the reliefs stated supra. 3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the records. 4. Considering the limited relief sought by the petitioner and in the absence of any serious objection from the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2026, in the light of G.O.(D) No.609, Municipal Administration and Water Supplies (MC-3) Department, dated 17.10.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
