It is stated by the respondent/Commissioner, Melapalayam Municipal Corporation, Tirunelveli District that after the direction of this court, notice dated 03.02.2026 had been issued to the alleged encroacher, who was the 5th respondent in the writ petition/Tmt. Esther Selvam. It is stated that thereafter the said Esther Selvam had filed an application before the revenue authorities stating that her plot had been wrongly described in the municipal records. She had also filed OS No.135/2024 seeking correcion of municipal lay out/survey records, which is also pending before the competent civil court. 2. Recording the above, the contempt petition stands closed. The petitioner is also at liberty to file an application to reopen the contempt on conclusion of the proceedings pending before various forums. (C.V.K.,J.)
