With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. 3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 4. Both the impugned proceedings dated 11.12.2025 and 02.06.2026, issued by the third respondent, are in the nature of show cause notices affording an opportunity to the petitioner to raise his objections and explanation as to why his pension be not revised. 5. The petitioner claims to have submitted a reply in response to the show cause notice dated 02.06.2026 to the respondents. But, no order is stated to have been passed as on date. However, apprehending that the respondents may reduce his pension from next month onwards without passing any order, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition. 6. Mr.Arivuchandran, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submits that no order has been passed ____________ https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD) No.20675 of 2026 pursuant to the impugned show cause notices and the respondents have been awaiting for the reply of the petitioner as in the reply dated 16.06.2026, the petitioner has not submitted any reply, instead placed reliance on the decision of the Honourable Apex Court in the case of State of Punjab and others vs. Rafiq Masih (White Washer) and others, reported in (2015) 4 SCC 334 and objected for recovery alone. 7. However, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not intending to submit any other objections or representation other than the representation dated 16.06.2026, which was already submitted by him before the respondents. 8. In the circumstances, the respondents are at liberty to pass appropriate orders pursuant to the impugned show cause notices duly taking into consideration the representation / objection dated 16.06.2026 stated to have been submitted by the petitioner and communicate the same to the petitioner.
