(2) According to petitioner, respondent no. 3 is not eligible to remain a member of Bazpur Sehkari Krya Vikray Samiti Ltd., yet her name has been included in the voter list. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief: “i) Issue a writ, order or direction, in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 2 to prepare a fresh list of candidates who are contesting the elections of member of Bazpur Sehkari Krya Vikray Samiti Ltd., Bazpur, District Udham Singh Nagar and only thereafter the elections may be conducted.” (3) This Court does not find any reason to interfere in the matter, as the election process has already been notified and the elections were scheduled to be held on 20.5.2026 and reportedly they have been postponed to 23.5.2026. Law is well settled that once election process is notified, any interference therewith would be uncalled for. (4) Even otherwise also, learned Counsel for the petitioner could not demonstrate how the writ petition is maintainable on behalf of petitioner, who does not have any locus in the matter. (5) Writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed. No order as to cost.
