The petitioner is an accused in connection with S.T. No.10 of 2026 arising out of Ratu P.S. Case No. 332 of 2025 pending in the Court of learned Additional Judicial Commissioner VII -cum- Special Judge, CBI (AHD Scam), Ranchi It has been alleged that the daughter of the informant had died in an unnatural circumstance in her matrimonial house. The deceased was tortured by the petitioner for non-fulfillment of the demand of dowry as alleged in the First Information Report. Submission has been advanced on behalf of the petitioner that there was an altercation between the petitioner and the deceased which resulted in the deceased falling in the well. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is in custody since 30.09.2025. The post-mortem report reveals that there was head injury found on the person of the deceased and the cause of death was Asphyxia as a result of drowning. It further appears that there was a demand of dowry made from the side of the petitioner, who is husband of the deceased. Considering the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and the same is hereby rejected at this stage. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.) Anit Uploaded 19.03.2026
