Shyam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. [2] Issue notice. [3] Mrs. L. Monomala, learned GA entered appearance and accepts notice on behalf respondent nos. 1, 2 & 4, Mr. W. WP(C) No. 455 of 2026 Page 5 Darakeshwar, learned Sr. PCCG entered appearance and accepts notice on behalf of the respondent no. 3, and Mr. Deepak Prasad Sahu, learned counsel assisting Mr. BP Sahu, learned Sr. counsel entered appearance and accepts notice on behalf of the respondents nos. 5, 6 & 7. Hence no formal notice is called for. [4] In view of the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioners and as agreed to by both the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition as well as connected application are being disposed of at the motion stage itself. [5] At the outset, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that for redressing his grievances raise in the present petition, they have already approached the competent authorities by submitting a representation dated 11.06.2026 and the same is still pending for consideration and disposal. The learned counsel further submitted that the petitioners will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Controller of Examination, Manipur University (respondent no. 7) to consider the said representation on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable law and to disposed of the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period. [6] All the learned counsel appearing for the respondents more particularly Mr. BP Sahu, learned Sr. counsel representing WP(C) No. 455 of 2026 Page 6 respondent no. 7, fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioners is confined to consideration and disposal of the representation submitted by them, he has no objection in disposing of this writ petition as prayed for on behalf of the petitioners. [7] Taking into consideration the submission advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioners, this Court is of the considered view that it will served the interest of justice to issue the following directions;- (i) The Controller of Examination, Manipur University (respondent no. 7) is hereby directed to consider the representation dated 11.06.2026 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable rules and guidelines and to disposed of the same by issuing a speaking order. (ii) The whole process should be completed within a period of 3(three) months from today. (iii) It is made clear that the above directions have been issued without touching upon the merit of this WP(C) No. 455 of 2026 Page 7 writ petition and as agreed to by all the counsel appearing for the parties. (iv) The respondent no. 7 is further directed to communicate any decision taken by him in connection with the said representation to the petitioners within a period of 2(two) weeks from taking such a decision.
