CORAM : THE CHIEF JUSTICE LISA GILL SRI JUSTICE CHALLA GUNARANJAN DATE : 14th July 2026 LISA GILL, CJ: This appeal has been filed for setting aside order, dated 28.04.2026, whereby respondent/writ petitioner’s petition has been allowed. Vide impugned order, dated 28.04.2026, it was directed that official respondents would ensure compliance of contract entered into with writ petitioner and make suitable arrangements.
2. Present appeal has been filed by appellant, who was not impleaded as party to writ petition. It is the case of appellant that after cancellation of order

in favour of writ petitioner, said work had been assigned to it but then without cancellation of order in appellant’s favour, the said work was again afforded to writ petitioner in compliance of interim order, dated 28.04.2026.
3. Leave to appeal was allowed on 06.05.2026.
4. Stand of official respondents was noted to the extent that after passing of impugned order, dated 28.04.2026, purchase order in favour of appellant had been cancelled and product in question had since been supplied by writ petitioner and the same had been accepted.
5. In the given factual matrix, learned counsel for respondents were asked to seek instructions as to whether there can be any adjustment of product, which present appellant had purchased on being awarded the contract, for any future supply.

Learned counsel for appellant today submits that he has received purchase order for almost 50% of the product and is likely to receive the purchase order for rest of the product in near future.

Learned counsel for official respondents affirms the same and submits that purchase order for rest of the product is likely to be issued within next two weeks.

8. In view of facts and circumstances as above, this writ appeal is
disposed of with no expression of opinion on merits of the matter. No costs.
Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
