For Petitioner : Mr.N.Sakthivel For Respondents : Mr.B.Pachaiyappan Government's Counsel for R-1 to R-4 Mr.Durai Gunasekaran Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for R-5 ORDER This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to survey and demarcate the petitioner's land bearing Survey Numbers 235/9, 237/5, 235/16, 236/7, 232/1D, 232/1E2, 235/16, 235/8 situated at Kavanur Village, Srimushnam Taluk, Cuddalore District within a stipulated time. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner applied online on 28.01.2026, 26.02.2026 and 21.04.2026 for surveying and demarcating his aforesaid land by paying the necessary fee; on 06.03.2026 and 26.03.2026 though the Surveyor and the revenue officials started to survey and demarcate the petitioner's land, due to ruckus created by the adjacent land owners, the officials have left the place; followed it up by approaching the second respondent on several occasions but to no avail; hence, the present writ petition seeking the aforesaid relief. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 26374 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 6 3. Mr. B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government Counsel, accepts notice for the official respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.Durai Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) accepts notice for the fifth respondent. The learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the petitioner’s online applications dated 28.01.2026, 26.02.2026 and 21.04.2026 will be considered and survey will be conducted by the second and third respondents within a period of six weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Counsels, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the second and third respondents to conduct survey by using Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) based on the petitioner’s online applications dated 28.01.2026, 26.02.2026 and 21.04.2026, after issuing due notice to the petitioner and the aggrieved persons, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The cost of measuring and surveying the subject land by using Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) shall be borne by the petitioner. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. 7.
