Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation dated 02.02.2026 before the respondents seeking assignement patta in respect of the Government Tharisu land comprised in S.No.136/3 measuring an extent of 60 cents (0.60 ares) situated at Athiyur Thirukkai Village, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram District, since the petitioner is cultivating the said land for several decades. However, the said representation was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition. 3. Mr.C.Prabakaran, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondents and submitted that the petitioner's representation will be considered within a period of four weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5. In the case on hand, the petitioner is a landless poor and cultivating the subject land for several decades, hence, he is entitled for patta in terms of Revenue Standing Orders -15. Thus, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.02.2026 and issue assignment patta to the petitioner in respect of the subject land, in terms of Revenue Standing Orders - 15, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 27057 of 202 __________ Page3 of 4 With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
