The grievance of the petitioner is directed against a high extension power transformer installed in a highly dense locality. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the transformer poses a threat to life and the same should be removed in public interest. 2. On behalf of the WBSEDCL it is submitted that the transformer has been installed following all prescribed formalities and there is no scope for removal of the same. 3. The State is also represented. 4. In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, WPA 18692 of 2025 is disposed of by directing the concerned District Magistrate to consider the grievance of the petitioner after 2 hearing all the affected parties including the WBSEDCL. 5. It is made clear that there has been no expression on the merits of the case and all questions are left open for the District Magistrate to decide in accordance with law. 6. Let the above exercise is to be completed within a period of six weeks from date of communication of this order. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
