For Petitioner : Mr.A.Rahul For Respondents : Mr.S.C.Herold Singh Standing Counsel O R D E R This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner complaining willful disobedience of the order dated 14.08.2025, in W.P.(MD) No.22281 of 2025, passed by this Court. 2. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel on either side reported that the respondents have complied with orders passed by this Court and accordingly, the amounts that were withheld towards the unimplemented punishment have been disbursed to the petitioner. However, learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the order passed by this Court in the main writ petition was complied with by the ____________ https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Cont.P.(MD) No.1390 of 2026 respondents belatedly and the amounts were paid to the petitioner after two years from the date of his superannuation and therefore, the petitioner is entitled for payment of interest on the belated payment. 3. However, this Court has not passed any positive orders in the main writ petition directing the respondents to pay interest on the amounts withheld by the respondents and therefore, this Court is not inclined to direct the respondents to pay interest on the amounts withheld by the respondents. However, it is open for the petitioner to pursue the said claim independently. 4.
