Mr. Vipul Panuli, learned AGA along with Ms. Meenakshi Sharma, learned Brief Holder for the State. Mr. Dhruv Chandra, learned counsel holding brief of Mr. Tejas Aggarwal, learned counsel for the private respondent. Mr. Mahesh Chandra Pant, learned counsel for the mediator. The case is taken up today before the National Lok Adalat. The parties are present before the Lok Adalat through V.C. and are duly identified by their respective counsel. Before the Lok Adalat, the parties have agreed to settle the matter and have arrived at a compromise. The terms of the compromise are as follows: “1. This present case is of the matrimonial nature, and settlement has been between the parties. 2. Both of them present through U.C. and N.O.C. They did not want further proceedings. 3. The offences are under 498(A) IPC, 323 IPC and 506 IPC and Sections 3 & 4 of the D.V. Act.” The terms of the compromise have been recorded in a separate compromise sheet which shall form part of the order. The compounding application (IA No. 1 of 2025) has been preferred by the parties and, in view of the settlement arrived at between them, the compounding application is allowed. Consequently, the misc. application is allowed, and the impugned Judgment and Order dated 9.3.2021 passed by Ld. 7th Additional Sessions Judge, Dehradun in Criminal Revision No. 53 of 2019 Neha Agrawal versus State of Uttarakhand and others, are hereby set aside qua the applicants.
