Senthilvel, aged about 37 years, bearing PID No.204218 confined at Purasadai Udaipu Open Prison, Sivagangai. ORDER (Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble A.D.Jagadish Chandira, J.) The petitioner has challenged the order dated 11.06.2026 of the 2nd respondent, whereby the request to grant ordinary leave has been rejected. 2. The reason for rejection cited in the impugned order is that the convict prisoner had earlier gone on ordinary leave for a period of 28 days from 23.09.2025 to 21.10.2025. From the date of return to jail till date, since the convict prisoner has not completed one year as per Rule 22(3) of the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules 1982, now he is not entitled to 28 days of ordinary leave. 3. In view of Rule 22(3) of the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules 1982, we do not find any infirmity in the impugned order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. (A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA J.) (R.POORNIMA J.) 10-07-2026 bala To 1.
