1. The present petition has been filed under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 by the Petitioner seeking appointment of an Arbitrator to adjudicate upon the disputes which have arisen between the parties under a Security Services Agreement dated 31.12.2021 (hereinafter referred to as “Agreement”). 2. It is the case of the Petitioner that the Respondent approached the Petitioner for providing safety and security services at various places which are enumerated in Schedule A to the Agreement. It is the case of the Petitioner that the bills for a sum of Rs.29,56,707.21 /- have been raised by the Petitioner but the Respondent has failed to make any payment. 3. It is stated that since the Respondent failed to clear the outstanding dues of the Petitioner, a notice under Section 21 of the Arbitration and This is a digitally signed order. Conciliation Act, 1996, invoking arbitration was issued by the Petitioner on 25.09.2024 to the Respondent claiming the outstanding amounts from the Respondent, which has been refused by the Respondent vide its reply dated
16.10.2024. 4. Clause 10 of the Agreement provides for resolution of disputes through arbitration. The seat of arbitration is at New Delhi. 5. Notice was issued in the petition on 21.01.2026. 6. Mr. Diptiman Acharyya, learned Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent

In view of the fact that disputes have arisen between the Parties and the Agreement contains an arbitration clause, this Court is inclined to appoint an Arbitrator to adjudicate upon the disputes between the parties. 8. Accordingly, Mr. Vishwajeet Singh, Advocate (Mob. No.98449343790) is appointed as the Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate upon the disputes between the parties. 9. The arbitration would take place under the aegis of the Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and would abide by its rules and regulations.
The learned Arbitrator shall be entitled to fees as per the Schedule of Fees maintained by the DIAC. 10. The learned Arbitrator is also requested to file the requisite disclosure under Section 12(2) of the 1996 Act within two weeks of entering on reference. 11. All rights and contentions of the parties in relation to the claims/counter-claims are kept open, to be decided by the learned Arbitrator on their merits, in accordance with law. 12.
