DHANO DEVI
...Petitioner Vs.
DAKSHIN HARYANA BIJLI VITRAN NIGAM AND ANR.
…Respondents
CORAM:- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JAGMOHAN BANSAL
Present:- Mr. Mohak Arora, Advocate for the petitioner
Mr. Ravish Kaushik, Advocate for respondents
*** JAGMOHAN BANSAL, J. (ORAL)
1.
The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent to restore and regularise her electricity connection by installing a proper meter at her premises. She is further seeking direction to the respondent to decide her representation dated 14.03.2026.
2.
The petitioner was granted a domestic electricity connection in 2018 followed by installation of an electricity meter. She claims that said meter was removed by Respondent-Department officials without any prior notice or granting her opportunity of hearing. She came to know about her pending dues which stood paid on 22.04.2021. As per petitioner, respondent took a contradictory stand by stating that there is no record of petitioner’s connection in their system. Inaction on their part persuaded her to file a representation dated 14.03.2026 which is still pending.
