Goswami, the learned counsel for the applicant. 2. This Interlocutory Application has been filed by the applicant/ United India Insurance Company Limited under Order 41 Rule 5 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, praying for stay of execution of the judgment and award dated 29.01.2026 passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Udalguri in MAC (I) Case No. 5/2021, whereby the applicant was directed to pay a compensation amount of Rs. 18,25,152/- along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum to the claimant/respondent. 3. The learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that the aforesaid judgment and award has been impugned by the applicant in the connected MAC Appeal No. 213/2026 and the said appeal has already been admitted and notices have issued to the respondent. 4. He further submits that the applicant is ready to deposit 50% of the awarded amount as a condition of staying the execution of the impugned judgment. 5. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the applicant, the notices to the respondent/claimant is hereby waived and this Interlocutory Application is allowed. 6. The execution of the aforementioned judgment and award shall Page No.# 3/3 remain stayed during the pendency of connected MAC Appeal No. 213/2026 subject to the deposit of 50% of awarded amount by the United India Insurance Company Limited/applicant before the Registry of this Court within six weeks from the date of this order. 7.
