The grievance of the petitioners is against an eviction notice dated 25.02.2026 issued by the DFO, Goalpara directing them to evict from the land under their possession on the allegation that the same is forest land. Shri R.R. Gogoi, learned Standing Counsel, Forest Department has however placed before this Court an office order dated 06.03.2026 whereby the impugned eviction notice dated 25.02.2026 has been withdrawn. Page No.# 3/3 This Court is of the view that in the wake of such development, there would be no existing cause of action to be aggrieved with. At this stage, Shri Choudhury, the learned counsel submits that he would like to withdraw this writ petition because of the aforesaid development.
