It is the case of the prosecution that the petitioner suspected the fidelity of his wife and murdered his mother-in-law, who had given shelter to his wife. Hence, the case. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police, while opposing the grant of bail, reiterated the prosecution case and, on instructions, submitted that this is a case of gruesome murder in which the deceased sustained as many as ten stab injuries and that the investigation is still pending. It was further submitted that, if the petitioner is enlarged on bail, there is every possibility of his tampering with witnesses. 5. Though there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner, considering the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that the investigation is still pending and having regard to the nature and gravity of the allegations levelled against the petitioner, this Court is of the view that it would not be appropriate to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. 6.
