The matter pertains to non-disbursal of pensionary benefits to the widow of the deceased employee of Sainthia municipality. As per the service book disclosed in the petition, it would transpire that one Gopal Hazra whose date of birth is 26th August, 1973 had meet an untimely death during his service tenure on 22nd April, 2022. 2. According to the petitioner, although the petitioner had made a representation before the Chairman, Sainthia Municipality seeking early disbursal of pension, the pension papers had not been processed and the matter is pending at the end of the municipality. 3. The learned advocate representing the municipality is present and would submit that petitioner’s pension papers have already been processed and have been forwarded to respondent No. 2. 4. Having heard the learned advocates for the parties and having regard to the above, I am of the view that if the WPA 974 of 2026 2 pension paper of the petitioner’s husband are yet to be processed, expeditious steps shall be taken for processing the same and in any event, the entire process should be completed not later than 6 weeks from the date of communication of this order. 5. Since nothing survives in the writ petition, the writ petition is accordingly disposed of. (Raja Basu Chowdhury, J.)
