(2) According to petitioner, she has made a representation seeking permission to sell the land in a colony situate at Jaspur, Udham Singh Nagar, but such permission is not being granted. Relief sought in the writ petition is as follows: “(a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 1 to decide the representation dated 02.05.2026 as Annexure No. 4 on page no. 22 of the petitioner within a stipulated period as fixed by this Hon’ble Court.” (3) Learned State Counsel, however, submits that since the plot of land, allegedly owned by the petitioner, is situate in an unauthorised colony and due to illegal construction, District Magistrate has imposed ban on transfer of land situate in that colony. He further submits that since petitioner has made a representation, therefore, District Magistrate can be asked to take decision on the same, as per law. (4) Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by directing District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar to take decision on petitioner’s representation, as per law, within six weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
